Getting To And From The Airport: What Are Your Options?

Blog

Planning a trip can be stressful. You need to time everything just right, but what if you miss a connection? Airport transportation services need to be timely, but you also don't want to have to spend an arm and a leg. Before you break out your planner, here are a few things that you should know.

You Don't Want to Rely on That Ride Share

Ride-share services are banned in some airports and not others. Even where they aren't banned, they can have trouble getting into the airport itself. Though you can call a ride-share service to get you into the airport, you shouldn't expect them to be able to get you out.

Most Hotels Have a Shuttle

In fact, most motels have a shuttle. You'll have to wait, though. A lot of shuttles leave every hour or half hour, and they may not be precisely on time. Contact the front desk and ask them what the schedule is, and give yourself a buffer. On the bright side, most of these shuttles are completely free (though you should probably tip the driver). This can save you a lot of money.

If the hotel itself doesn't have a shuttle, it's still possible there's an airport shuttle that comes by the hotel. If you're going to your hotel, you can check at the shuttle lines. If you're coming from the hotel, you may need to call the airport for pickup.

There Are Airport Car Services

Car services and taxi services, like www.bestluxurytransportation.com, are located at nearly every airport, but you should be prepared for them to cost more than you're used to. Airport car services usually cost more than a taxi service, with a caveat: they will arrive much faster and they will get you exactly where you want to go. A lot of them even operate on a flat, per-ride rate in larger airports, which means you can actually save money by using one. Plus, you can relax in a comfortable car.

You don't need to drive to the airport or rent a car for a short jaunt. For the most part, your transportation options should be covered; you just need to be careful. Always give yourself at least a little lead time and assume that something, at some point, will go wrong. If you're worried, invest in travel insurance. Travel insurance will protect you from missed flights that are outside of your control.

Exploring Airport Transportation Options

Hi there, I am Taylor Eilson. I hope that you will visit my site all of the time to talk about airport transportation. When I first started my career, I was so scared of traveling from place to place for business meetings. The process of storing my car, making it to my flight on time and moving around town without a personal vehicle felt daunting at first. Luckily, with my first experience taking a cab to the airport, all of those feelings changed. From that point on, I vowed to try out all of the airport transportation options available to find my favorite ones. I hope that I can help others find their favorite way to travel to and from the airport in style. Please come by anytime to learn more.
